Springfield Area Landlord Association
President: ​​Greg Zessin ​
​Prior to investing in real estate, Mr. Zessin had been employed as a ceramic tile installer, general manager of a ceramic tile distributor, and as contractor sales / installation manager for a local flooring company. He began his real estate investing in 2007 when he and his wife purchased their second family home, turning the first home into a rental. Over the years he has continued to buy residential properties, typically in bulk purchases, and grow the portfolio. In 2013, Mr. Zessin left the day job to be a full time real estate investor. Additionaly he joined RE/MAX Professionals in 2017 and is a current 2017 honoree of the Springfield Business Journal Forty under 40.
Vice President:​Joe Tetzlaff​
​Mr. Tetzlaff has been a real estate broker for 13 years and has successfully closed hundreds of real estate transactions. He specializes in institutional clients, REO transactions, and residential investment properties. Mr. Tetzlaff started his real estate endeavors 14 years ago as a real estate investor. Mr. Tetzlaff still actively adds new properties to his rental portfolio as often as he can find the “next deal.”
Mr. Tetzlaff has received numerous rewards and sales designations including; #1 RE/MAX Agent in St. Louis Region for closed transactions in 2009, inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame for over $1 million in earned commissions, recipient of the Lifetime Rudy Award from the Illinois Association of Realtors (highest production award given by the state which requires 3 years of producing $25 million and/or 80+ transactions per year), and he was a 2013 honoree of the Springfield Business Journal Forty under 40.
Mr. Tetzlaff holds the following designations: GRI designation from the National Association of Realtors, A-REO Agent designation (Accredited REO Agent), Five Star REO Certified, managing broker license in the State of Illinois, and numerous other designations and certifications.
Mr. Tetzlaff currently also serves as Vice President of SALA (Springfield Area Landlord Association & Investors Group) and on the MLS Committee, Governmental Affairs Committee and Professional Standards Committee for the Capital Area REALTORS.
Secretary: Trina Dunbar​​
​ Trina Dunbar has been the Director of Leasing for Real Estate Service & Consultation since 2012, prior to that, she was a Section 8 caseworker for the Springfield Housing Authority, and Trina is a 2010 Graduate of Benedictine University at Springfield with a B.A. in Psychology. She is currently working on her personal Real Estate portfolio.
Treasurer: Tony Nudo​​
​Became a real estate investor and landlord in 1983 at the age of 21 when I bought my first house contract for deed. Worked in the construction industry and as a Realtor. Joined the Springfield Area Landlord Association in 1995. Became a full time professional Landlord in 1999. Have been the Sala Treasurer since 2009. My partner is my wife Barb. We started building our single family home based real estate portfolio while raising our 3 children in order to increase our income stream and fortify our retirement. We have bought all of our real estate investment properties with no money down.
